Youth and Sports Ministry clarified that all sporting and recreational activities, including cycling is not allowed during the current lockdown, except for jogging and exercising within one’s own neighborhood.
In an updated Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP), it revealed that activities must be conducted with physical distancing of at least two to three metres and only between 7 am and 8 pm.
Also, it is noted that jogging and exercising helps reduce pressure as well as maintain physical and mental well-being.
On the Ministry’s official Twitter account, it said, “the activities must be done individually, on the spot, controlled, and in an open area as well as in the neighbourhood. This is to reduce the risk of infections from spreading to other localities or areas.”
Meanwhile, when discussing about neighbourhood the ministry defined it as the area close to one’s home without the need to cross to another neighbourhood. Also, e-sports are allowed but only in one’s own home.
