The Election Commission (SPR) decided to suspend 11 polling stations at Baram Parliamentary due to bad weather.
According to a media report, SPR stated the routes by air, land, and water were closed, making the assigned officers unable to enter their respective areas.
“The new date of voting for polling centers and polling places (channels) will be announced later after it is safe for the staff and voters to reach the polling center to vote,” he said in a statement quoted from the media.
The voting process went on as usual in some Baram parliamentary constituencies despite being flooded initially.
The Baram Parliament witnessed a rivalry between former incumbent Anyi Ngau who represents the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Roland Engan from Pakatan Harapan (PH), and Wilfred Entika Rebai from the independent party.
