The Perak State Development Corporation have been told to acquire Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines from Majuperak Holdings Bhd.
Menteri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad said the corporation would do so through its subsidiary Majuperak Holdings Bhd.
In an online press conference, Saarani said, “we welcome the decision by the Federal Government to allow Pharmaniaga to supply seven million doses of the vaccine to private companies, government-linked companies and state governments.”
He added, “we will look at the demands first (before buying the vaccine), as it involves money.”
Moreover, Saarani explained any individuals or companies who would want to purchase the vaccine for their staff are allowed to do so through the corporation. He believes that there will be many requests, especially for individuals who do not want to wait.
Meanwhile, other initiatives include vaccination drive-throughs near the Indera Mulia Stadium and the Sultan Azlan Shah Roundabout in Meru Raya; targeted testing at hotspots; outreach programmes for those in rural areas and mobility issues.
