UMNO Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican admitted that after the process of Anti- party hopping bill, the country has shown the process of maturity in politics.
In a Facebook post, Reezal explained the Special Meeting of Parliament held on April 11th was an important and meaningful moment for the country’s political pattern.
He stated, “the need to amend the constitution or any other legal solution in addressing the issue of party hopping should be refined in the near future.”
Apart from that, Reezal acknowledged that the bill’s efforts are extraordinary because they include the spirit of discussion, invitation, and deliberation undertaken by the Government.
According to him, the Special Session of Parliament during the day did not cause any loss to any party. In fact, the conference became a ‘highest level feedback’ session that could be done.
Furthermore, Reezal said it reveals an element of high responsibility as more than 65 debaters shared their view and opened up many ideas that deserve to be studied.
