The people need to think about the serious upheaval in Perikatan Nasional when voting in the 15th General Election.
Following a statement issued by the Deputy President of PAS, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, who claimed that PN is not dominated by Bersatu.
Member of the UMNO Supreme Council, Datuk Seri Shabery Cheek questioned who is the dominant party in the coalition.
“Tuan Ibrahim has issued a statement that PN is not dominated by Bersatu. This is interesting. If it is not dominated by Bersatu, then who is the dominant party,” he said in a press conference yesterday.
Shabery said Tuan Ibrahim’s statement clearly showed the unrest in PN thus making them an unstable party to become the government.
“I think this is a recipe for forming an unstable government. Denial after the denial was made by Bersatu leaders regarding the upheaval that happened, therefore it shows that the conflict is really happening,” he explained.
Therefore, Shabery called out the voters to evaluate before voting to prevent wasting any votes to parties that are not stable, but instead support Barisan Nasional to form a stable government.
When asked about BN’s final acceleration in GE15, Shabery advised all candidates to treat the voters well because it is common for BN to be with the people during ups and downs.
“Talking about final acceleration, each one has to take care of their own place. Starting tomorrow, many voters will be returning to their hometown and they will even ask if they can check on the website.”
“Of course, will be happy if the party’s machinery, especially BN, reminded them, called them as if we’re inviting them to a big event and showing where and which channel show they cast their vote.
“Treat them well. This is a practice that is not just for GE. It is common for BN to be with people during ups and downs. Remember that we have our legacy and weaknesses, but we always improve.
“We will continue our legacy. PH’s effort for 22 months killed all legacy that we have created,” he said.
