Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has pledged to donate six months of his salary and allowances towards residents in Rantau affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The UMNO deputy president expressed hope that his contributions will help and benefit the residents especially those badly affected by pandemic.
“I will write to the Negri Sembilan protocol office and ask that my salary and allowances be credited into another account which has been set up to help the people in Rantau,” said Mohamad.
He added, “It is my hope that my contribution will to a certain extent, help those badly affected by the pandemic.”
Moreover, Mohamad said that his service centre would continue to provide aid to other disadvantaged individuals in Rantau.
On Monday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said all Cabinet ministers and deputy ministers will forgo their salary for three months and the money will be given to a fun for expenses related to Covid-19.
